Day 1: Survey Design & Methodology
In this jam-packed first day we will be covering Survey Elements; Writing Questions; Piloting; Sampling Methods; Modes of Distribution -- including a close look at web-based survey creation; and Planning for the Next Iteration. We'll discuss ways to improve the surveys you have created or are yet to create. What are Reliability & Validity, anyway, and why should you care?
Day 2: Survey Analysis
Bring your laptop with Microsoft Excel or SPSS. If you already have some data bring that too! If you don't have any data, we've got plenty. Analysis of your results will involve:Preparing Data; Creating a Code Book; Using Descriptive & Inferential Statistics (without panic & stress); and Reporting Results with Appropriate Tables and Charts. Note that this is not a statistics course, just an introduction to the practical aspects of data analysis.
This is an interactive, practical, hands-on, two-day workshop; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm each day.
